And in a group like BRICS, which was already the pinnacle of contradictions, adding so many new members so far left it with no time to find common points. I suspect this failure is the first of many. As a Brazilian, I can’t help but feel embarrassed.

While economic alliances are always beneficial in theory, especially when Europe (and France in particular) often downplays our achievements, BRICS feels like an awkward fit for Brazil. Aligning with countries that frequently face criticism for questionable practices makes it seem like we’re associating with the wrong crowd.

Would you guys in the West ever accept the loss of hegemony to a non western state or a coalition of countries who aren't part of a western alliance?

If a country is a democracy,  but it doesn't geopoliticaly or militarily align itself with the west, would that country be acceptable to you as a world leader?

Is there any acceptable scenario in your minds where the most dominant countries in the world won't be part of the West? 

Or do you think western hegemony is a must and anything other than it is absolutely unacceptable?
